The Research Continues

This is what mine could look like! I strayed away from the Black MINI because when you get a classic car it should be bright and "POP"! My friend bright green mini really backs that fact up that if you have a bright colored mini your good to go!

This is the color I'm going to shoot for. A Nice Vibrant Red!

For the inter i thought I would start off with some Red Sparco Chrono Road seats:

VTec ZeeMax Research

While going to a Houston MINI Motoring Society Club Meeting I had a chance to see a friend who owns a Classic Honda VTec Zeemax Classic MINI. I got to ride in it to see how it feels in the passenger seat. Boy did this confirm my choice in classic car. This car not only looks great, but drives great too. The engine is reliable and sounds powerful.

When I got home I got into to doing some research in what I exactly wanted in my Classic MINI.
Here is a list of what my friend has in his:
Honda JDM B18 Type R motor with limited slip, chipped ECU, Wilwood 4 pot disk brake, Wilwood pedal set, A/C, front aluminum coil over shocks, aluminum drum brakes (rear), Speedhut gauges, Ultralite 13 inch wheels, Yokohama A048 tires (gone after 3,500 miles, now using A539, a little harder compound), Kawasaki Ninja Green paint with white top, fully welded roll cage painted white, Sparco seat, Sparco steering wheel, Sparco 6 points belts (I did not install the crotch strap), front tow hook, Zeemax body kit, battery kill switch, fire extingusher with quick release, MTB2 subframe, rear coil over suspension.

If I can get anywhere near this I would be very happy!

The Dream Starts Here!

For the past few months I have been researching classic minis. I am quite interested in obtaining a classic car to add along side my daily driver (2010 Mini Cooper S). I think it would only be fitting to purchase another MINI. I have never owned a classic car and think that I would be able to obtain a classic car quicker if I started out small and cheap. Classic MINI coopers are very cheap depending on the condition and the use of them by their previous owners. I've been researching what all is involved in the classic mini coopers. Engines, Interiors, and just the over all Styles and features. I went online and have been looking at photos and came across, what I believe to be one of my dream cars. A classic MINI Cooper in Matte Black. This one seems to be from France. It's not for sale, but its definitely the kind of quality and look I want in a classic car.

This thing looks bloody brilliant. Now not all classic minis looks this good. I did some fine tuning in photoshop to see what it would look like with some design features and graphics. Wow I think I'm in love! This Classic MINI transformed right before my eyes into a beautiful, Kick ass piece of machinery. I think this is the classic I have been look for. I hope to continue the search for the mighty new classic mini and hope to save up enough cash to one day purchase one. I'll be looking for an Automatic transmission which narrows the search field a bit, but hopefully one day I'll have it in a garage of my own.

THE RED & BLACK CLASSIC
